When I was supposed to be studying, I watched Oprah instead, which I did not regret at all. It was an episode on sexual discrimination. I couldn't believe how an episode of Oprah could move me so deeply. It was shocking to see women, like me, women like the nice, loving girls around me, not laughing, not talking about guys, not joking, not having fun. Instead, they, who were supposed to have the same rights, and dreams as us, are being raped, left to die, left hungry, left being depressed, hopeless, by pathetic people who don't deserve to share this term 'human' with anyone else. I don't know where or how the thought of men, being superior came about, but I think this is ridiculous. I have to admit I used to be a part of that too, I wanted to have sons instead of daughters, which was very stupid of me. Now, its more of a let nature takes it toll thing. Women are fantastic, intelligent beings, and I am proud of being one. Below is an empowering video. It made me think of more important things rather than being pissed at that stupid dress that isnt on sale, or complaining about the weather.
I really think girls should believe in themselves, and should really shine and never get outshined by people, especially men, who could or may not bear seeing us being better than them.
