Things to do in the city, on a Friday night, other than buying things, are actually stopping every 300m for live performances. There were loads today, and Brisbane Youth band was one of the more formal ones, without hats, or cds to sell. This reminded me of Qin, especially the front row, young people full of passion on the saxophone. I also liked the girl on the double bass. It was really jazzy, not my kinda theme, but alright, I guess. Conclusion; when kids are young, send them to music lessons, so when they grow up at least they have a safety net to fall onto!
I also saw people who had the courage to sing in front of random strangers, and I'm sure wonderful voices help alot. I know most of my coursemates by face, but I still feel like peeing in my pants when presenting in front of them. I'm sure porn stars are also quite brave, but, it's a form of art I guess.
Now, I think people who are artistic, have more depth compared to people who use the right brain more. The latter seems to be relatively cold, and more money driven.
I also feel lucky to say that I have a best friend. The kind that even if there's distance between, and even if we're both really busy with our lives, we're still concerned about each other. Never failing to encourage each other when we're both down in the dumps, and never fail to laugh whenever having conversation over the phone. Even if no one likes me, no men think I'm attractive, I am glad I have such a good friend beside me. The best friend is the only person who can make unhappy memories seem funny!! Random bah! Coz she just phoned me 2 nights ago!! Miss her loads!!
