    Angmo-ness I’m not used to

-Saying hi to everyone you see, and when you finally do that, they turn tiawke and don’t reply you!

    · -They drink mineral water, while I’m the only one in my apartment going out of my room to boil water.

    · -Microwavable dinners, eeuuggghhh, how unhealthy, I’m not saying my mee goreng is but… at least I cook it with a pot.

    · -2 hours difference

    · -The angmo rain which starts everytime I go out, and when I get my umbrella out, it stops.

    · -No rice, no noodles

    · -Expensive rice and noodles in restaurants

    · -I like bread.. BUT NOT EVERY MEAL TIME.

    · -KETCHUP!! EEEE I want my chilli sauce which costs 2 audi dollars! WHICH IS MURDER IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!!

    · -Silly 3 pin plugs

    · -Not being close to the people I love; friends & family

    · -Users of espeed please don’t complain about the speed and cost of it, its way way better than vistagate

    · -Things bought are paid by me =( there is a MUST to budget, musnt look at lovely shops which have HUMONGOUS DISCOUT with cute bajus like jayjays&supre

    · -With that said, no new clothes, no new things I look like a typical asian nerd whose good in math!

    · -HOW WAS I TO KNOW I WAS SUPPOSE TO BRING CONTACTS!! NO ONE TOLD ME!! I THOUGHT MY EYES WOULD DRY UP OR SOMETHING!!

    · -Confusing streets which made me lost for like uncountable times which did good to my enormous thighs. I had to go all over campus just to get home and the maps didn’t help either. GOD HELP ME.

    · -Being this happy fortunate kid from brunei, EVERYTHING HERE HAS TO BE PAID! Like the time we went to the bank to open an acc, there were cakes on the counter, $2 each! PPFFTT

    · -Sharing a house with people I don’t know like 2 people from gold coast ( which my mum said costa rica) I THINK EVERYONE HERE IS AUSTRALIAN, eventhough they’re black and muslim. Im such an outsider. But so far so good, my flatmates are kinda nice albeit the fact that Pearly whose this drama student and Race( mr surfer dude) invited some friends over and had booze and made the kitchen filthy, but they cleaned it afterwards! & being the bored asian kid, I threw out the trash! I hope I don’t have to do it EVERYTIME.

    · -& did you know we’re suppose to have 4 minutes shower?

    · -And the fact that I don’t have mum to call me up.

    · - Wish she could stay with me

    · -And I have NOTHING to do before school starts except the gold coast trip with uncle this Friday.HEEE =p

    · -And the thickly accented Chinese students speaking English, and when I said I understand Chinese THEY LOOKED AT ME LIKE A FREAK!! And they look like they don’t understand me.

    · -Being friendly sucks, it’s a bit tiring, I help 2 people from the welcoming comitee to carry a trolley up a slope thing and the chabo DIDN’T even say thanks!!

    · -And they look at hot orang puteh angmo matsalleh guys with this enthu look, at me…? Tired ah! Like Asians don’t understand them like that

    · -Speaking English 24/7 I SWEAR MAN! When I go back to brunei im not going to use English I rather use Vietnamese.

    · -Orientation was boring-ish lecture like and my peers were wearing summer clothes while&

    · -& stupid phone systems which put you on hold for like 20 mins just so you can deactivate your voice mail.

    · -Did I mention mum not being my alarm clock?

    HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I was being a nice neighbor to my room mate and I offered her some chocolates!! =D

Eventhough I had difficulty remembering her name which is KRYSTAL!! EASYPEASYRIGHT!! But you know my memory…

Im very complainy but I didn’t say I don’t like it here, im just not used to it yet. Watch this space 2-6 months later, I’ll tell you I LOVE this place.

I love the weather here, I also love the parks and I also love my accommodations and my flurry slippers and the lovely cars I see on the road and the friendly old men bus driver. & I had the chance to record something for my voice mail which apparently sounds rude and my parents don’t know how to use so I had to call to ‘optus’ to deactivate it which wasted like 1 hour of my life cause the line keeps getting disconnected.TULAN.

& im listening to hey Delilah. =p

To that special someone,1000 miles seem pretty far, but theres cars trains and planes,I’ll be good and wont miss you, 4 more years and I’ll be done of school and you’ll be making history.

    much love,
person who's so far away from home.
